The anime has been getting rave reviews lately, mostly due to its stylish visuals and over-the-top humor, and I can understand why. What I would like to know is if the manga is worth your time. It's a fairly slow start for its first volume, but by volume four, I was into it.

The manga starts out a little slow, and a lot of the characters don't really make much of an impression or even show any distinct personalities. There are a lot of characters, but only a handful of major turning points. The manga focuses on the relationships and the issues that come with them, but that's really only half of what the manga/anime offers. Considering that there are so many to choose from, something like this could be improved if the author added more depth.

First, the anime. The art is absolutely beautiful, and the music is fitting for the show. The characters are pretty generic, but I suppose having 47 different personalities like a melting pot makes it easy to make something that can appeal to a wide range of readers. These two characters seem the most lonely out of all the cast aside from the recurring characters like the hero's wolf-god partner. A subplot about a fujoshi is hearteningly normal.

The title says it all: "A man gets possessed by a wolf God so he can have hot sex with one of the Wolf Gods’ wolf slaves". On one hand, there are many similarities to "Touhou Project" (Blade of the Immortal genre), but on the other there aren't. Holy. Shit...the art is so good; it makes me want to go read shit about the Touhou Project. The anime touches on same-sex romance, but it doesn't go very far in that regard. The hero is already with a wolf girl and they're already engaged or whatever. The rest of the manga seems to be a comical cop-out ending. It's really not a very compelling read.

After discovering that his beloved dog had passed away, Yūta spends all his time at a shrine along the shore filming the surrounding scenery. One day, he witnesses childhood friend Yuu, a boy who looks as if he just awoke from a nightmare, get on a train to another town and head to an old mansion.
